This is a list of groups that are always looking for support, whether that is donations, funds, or volunteer time.

Encampment Support Network Parkdale

The Encampment Support Network Parkdale is a group of housed and unhoused neighbours supporting each other in Parkdale. They are looking for hard-shell coolers and dry food containers, mattresses, tents, clothes and first-aid kits, and lysol wipes.

All People Fighting Oppression

All People Fighting Oppression provides mutual aid in North York for residents who are unhoused or living in precarious housing situations. They need lots of supplies, including hygiene supplies, good condition shoes and clean clothing, non-perishable food, gift cards, reusable water bottles, tents and sleeping bags, and monetary donations. Donation pick-up provided for people living in the GTA!

Moss Park

The residents of Moss Park urgently need tents and sleeping bags after city enforcement officers have been dumping people's belongings out and destroying everything they own, including their homes.

Queen's Park First Nations Land Defenders Camp

In the wake of the passing of Bill 5, an Indigenous youth-led coalition of land defenders have been holding space at Queen's Park in protest. They need key key supplies to stay safe, nourished, and grounded. If you’re able to donate or deliver, they are looking for clothing, medicine (cedar, sweetgrass, tobacco, and sage), toiletries, as well as cases of water, firewood, and bags of ice. Community Fridges Toronto

Community Fridges Toronto is a mutual aid effort at different locations across Toronto to support food security. CF provides fridges where neighbours can donate food as well as take what they need, no questions asked. There's lots of opportunities to volunteer in whatever capacity makes sense to you - helping stock and clean, supporting food distribution, doing outreach, creating graphics, and so on.

Toronto Rape Crisis Centre

The Toronto Rape Crisis Centre is hosting an in-person Summer Training Session for volunteer crisis counsellors to support survivors and respond to our crisis line. Training is available throughout July, apply to volunteer online.

Bike Brigade

The Bike Brigade is a group of 1000+ volunteer cyclists delivering food and other essentials by bike across Toronto and providing last-mile food deliveries for communities. Sign up to ride with them, or support their logistics team.

Parkdale Activity-Recreation Centre

The Parkdale Activity-Recreation Centre is a community centre that works with members on issues of poverty, mental health, addictions, homelessness and food security. PARC provides drop-in meal programs and a free shop, and is currently looking for donations of spring essentials, including personal hygiene items, clothing, shoes, tents and tarps, and more.

Rising From Our Roots

Rising From Our Roots is a grassroots organization working on distributing resources to youth. They're currently looking for folks in the community to get more involved in our work of outreach, event organizing and distributing resources to Queer Trans Disabled Black and Indigenous youth in Toronto and Montreal. Fill out their volunteer application form if you can spend at least a couple hours a week with social media, outreach, communications/admin, and marketing. Here is a list of specific grocery donations they are looking for right now.

Foods Not Bombs Kensington

Foods Not Bombs Kensington provides free food and a free market to Kensington residents every week. They are looking for disposable containers that are clean and lidded, as well as a number of other household items to make the weekly free market a better experience (folding chairs, racks, mirrors, etc). DM them on Instagram for donation options.

Moss Park Market

Building Roots’ Moss Park Market is a give-what-you-can fresh produce market open every Saturday from 11am to 3pm for residents of the Moss Park community. They can always use donations, and currently they are looking for clean reusable shopping bags that they can give out with the market. Drop off at the shipping containers at 260 Queen St E on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10am-4pm.

Hands Up Toronto

Hands Up Toronto delivers food, resources, and basic necessities to those who need it across Toronto. They are often looking for volunteer drivers, loaders, and help with food distribution.

Trinity Community Hub

Trinity Community Hub provides take-out meals, coffee, clothing bank, and harm reduction supplies every Tuesday and Wednesday from 12-1:30pm. They are especially looking for donations of shorts now that the weather is getting warmer.

LAMP Community Health Centre

The LAMP Community Health Centre in Etobicoke is looking for volunteers who are passionate about affordable housing and who are looking for ways to get involved. Email or text them directly for more information.

Cecil Community Centre

The Cecil Community Centre is a not-for-profit, multi-service neighbourhood centre that offers a broad range of recreational, educational, social, cultural and capacity-building programs to local area residents. They're looking for volunteers for program and event support, meals programs support, help with admin, and tax clinic support.

Disability Justice Network of Ontario

The Disability Justice Network of Ontario is looking for lawyers and paralegals to join their pro-bono legal support roster.
